Oversea Maker Faire Meetup 2016 Tokyo Report

We MakerFaire Organizer from 7 citiys meet at 5/Aug 2016 at Tokyo, present day of Maker Faire Tokyo. 
Bangkok/Hongkong/Seoul/Shanghai/Singapore/Shenzhen/Tainan/Trondheim!

We want to Share own Maker Faire for each other from Many country MakerFaire Organizer come to Tokyo 2016.
We introduce each other what Our MakerFaire is cool, and improve together Ecosystem by Makers.
That’s a reason why we told each other.

Seoul become Maker Faire from Mini one at 2015. They started 2012, only 20 booth when started, but now over 150 booth in MFSeoul.
 Korea have own makers culture. I found conbine old and new. Drone battle, Light art and traditonal drowing.

Hongkong Maker Faire by Clifford Choy Hongkong are nearby Shenzhen, grown and traditional city. Their Maker Faire have more western style creativity than other China Cities.

Shenzhen Maker Faire by Monica Shen

Maker Faire Shenzhen is a part of leagest one Maker Faire of the world. But this year will be smaller and more diverse fare. We know already where is capital of hardware, but MFSZ want to be more creative.

Tainan Maker Faire by David Lin

The Tainan Maker Faire is located and managed by Nation Cheng Kung University Tainan. You can see many student booths in Tainan, but there’s projects are Maker style.
I still remember them Laputa’ shapes huge drone project.

Shanghai Maker Carnival by RIKEY(DFRobot CEO)

Shanghai running Maker Faire style event from 2012, that’s called Maker Carnival. I want for their 2014, good combination workshop and booth activity.
And I surprised software industry park at Pudong.

Bangkok Mini Maker Faire by Dr Morn Kritsachai Somsaman

Maker Movement in Thailand is just started. Some Makerspace located in Bangkok now. These are starting from 2015, last year. I couldn’t find any Makerspace at 2014.

Trondheim Maker Faire by Arnfinn Stendahl Rokne

They are only European to join this event, from Trondheim, Norway!
I still remember a beautiful sky and good design DIY at Maker Faire Trondheim. There is an industrial city, big university NTNU support to Maker Faire, You can find some car, DIY aircraft, and some huge things.

My camera suddenly stopped in this event, I couldn’t take my Singapore presentation, sorry.
